Anna Parada
FounderAnna Parada is a Brazilian-born, LA-based SAG/AEA actress. Anna has been teaching acting at numerous colleges since 2010. Her training spans from NYC Actors Center, Bogart’s SITI Company, British American Drama Academy at Oxford University, LA’s John Ruskin School, and many other local studios. She has produced and starred in equity plays at the Odyssey Theatre and Electric Lodge. Her directing credits include BadJews at the Whitefire Theatre, Streetcar Named Desire at Pierce College, many devised plays, and 24Hour Play Festival at Cornerstone Theatre Company. Anna is founder of Steers Studio: a camera acting gym and co-founder of EKLEKTOS STUDIO. She holds a BFA in Performing Arts and Social Justice from University of San Francisco and an MFA in Acting/Directing from CSULB California Repertory Theatre Company.
Diego Parada
FounderDiego Parada has been teaching Improv at The Groundlings Theater, where he has performed with a bunch of cool people from SNL such as, Chris Kattan, Ashley Padilla and Chloe Fineman. He also teaches at the historic Stella Adler Academy. He is constantly finding new ways to help students digest the tools of improv with the quality of exploration, play and collaboration. He also has ongoing small private Improv training in addition to studio classes with working actors. Diego Parada has appeared on ABC's HIGH POTENTIAL, MODERN FAMILY, and Apple TV’s FOR ALL MANKIND. He’s also been in over a dozen national commercials, including 2025 Budweiser's Super Bowl commercial. He has lended his vocal talents to ADULT SWIMS' MIKE TYSONS MYSTERIES as well as several mini-series on NETFLIX.

We will begin by working with a casting director extraordianire Maddalena Zuppetta, showing her your work and getting hands on feedback. Then, we will train in applied Meisner technique to bring truth and spontaneity to your camera work, and unleash your creativity with Improv to discover freedom and play. Together, these courses build on each other — giving you the tools, confidence, and ownership to SHARPEN YOUR INSTINCTS and bring LIFE to your work.

You will be sent scene instructions one week before the Intensive. You will also receive instructions on how to prepare for the Meisner section. With your scene work, THE GOAL IS TO BE OFF BOOK BUT IF UNABLE TO DO SO, PLEASE BE EXTREMELY FAMILIAR WITH THE SCENE.
-There are not many restaurants in the area you will want to bring your own food and water for the day
-A notebook is always suggested for note taking.
-The theater gets cold so bring a jacket.

BULK UP!
The purpose of this class, regardless of your skill level, is to build upon your strengths and get more reps in.
Because the class will only have up to 8 students max, we will have more than enough time to personalize your training, and bulk up those improv muscles that are asking for creatine(ivity)!

We will mostly work on strengthening your choices in scenes (what are the hot choices that’d fuel to the scene?), and because it’s a relatively small group of students per class, I will have time to give personalized notes to help you iron out any wrinkles in your performance.

Improv YOUR COMMERCIAL AUDITION
Whether it's a "button" or the entire thing, commercials require improv and split seconds decisions.
In this class we will go over how to refine and find those spur of the moment choices that will help us create in person auditions and self-tape that we are proud of.
The goal is to use improv, not just to come up with funny and unique moments, but also to learn to trust our creative impulses. In doing so we become masters at making choices that are specific and that at the same time serve the script.

Noup. It helps but don’t feel like you won’t be able to participate or follow along if you’ve never done improv before. We will go over the absolute basics.

Diego Parada is a Mexican actor who has been teaching Improv at The Groundlings Theater and Stella Adler Academy for a few years now and is constantly finding new ways to help students digest the tools of improv with the quality of exploration, play and collaboration. He also has ongoing small private Improv training in addition to studio classes with working actors.
He's appeared in TV shows like ABC’s HIGH POTENTIAL, APPLE TV’s FOR ALL MANKIND, and MODERN FAMILY and whose voice has appeared in ADULT SWIMS’ Mike Tyson Mysteries and a few mini-series on NETFLIX. Diego has also appeared in over a dozen National Commercial Campaigns (Disney, Walmart, Toyota. etc.). A recent one being Budweiser’s Superbowl Commercial in which Diego got to pet a Clydesdale. In another one, he met Jean Claude Van Damme and Diego is happy to report, he's taller.
